Car rental FAQ

Renting a car in the UAE through Mifto — the essentials.

How does Mifto work?

Mifto lets you compare cars from verified UAE rental companies, then send a booking request to the company over WhatsApp. Mifto is an intermediary marketplace — the rental agreement is directly between you and the rental company.

How much does it cost to rent a car in the UAE?

Daily rates start from around AED 120 for everyday cars and run into the thousands for luxury and exotic models. Each listing on Mifto shows the daily price, security deposit, mileage allowance and any delivery fee.

Is a security deposit required?

Most rental companies require a refundable security deposit, which is held during the rental and returned afterwards. The amount is shown on each car listing and varies by vehicle.

Can I rent a car without a credit card?

It depends on the company. Many accept cash, bank transfer or other methods — check the 'Payments accepted' section on each car or company page. Mifto does not process any payment; you pay the rental company directly.

What documents do I need to rent a car?

Typically a valid driving licence (UAE licence for residents, or an International Driving Permit plus your home licence for visitors), your passport or Emirates ID, and you must meet the minimum driver age shown on the listing (often 21–25).

Can the car be delivered to me?

Many companies deliver the car to your location and collect it afterwards. Delivery and collection fees depend on the emirate and are shown when you build your request. You can also choose to pick up and return the car yourself for free.

Is there a mileage limit?

Each listing shows a daily kilometre allowance. If you exceed it, the company may charge a small fee per extra kilometre. Some companies offer unlimited mileage.

Which emirates does Mifto cover?

Mifto covers Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah, with cars from local rental companies across these emirates.
